My Motivation

I've enjoyed growing a mustache for fun, so growing a mustache for a purpose seems like the logical next step forward. Last year when someone introduced me to the concept of Movember, I instantly knew I wanted to get involved. Men's health issues are not discussed as openly as they should be. Prostate and testicular cancer are preventable, curable disease with early detection and treatment. I'll be growing my mustache to spread awareness and raise money to help prevent and cure future cases.

From the bottom of our upper lips, we can't thank you enough for your support of Movember and men's health. This year was a truly remarkable campaign that saw over 219,000 in the US raise over $20 million! Twist of the Mo on a job well done Jared Alper who was the BMOC Mo Mo for 2013 and winner of the Amazon Student prize package!

We are always looking for more passionate Mo Champions to help build out the Movember community on their campus...if you are interested in becoming a leader of Mo at your school, please email info.us@movember.com and we will get back to you in the new year to talk some moustache!

Nothing says Thanksgiving like a little mashed potatoes in the moustache. Thanksgiving is the perfect opportunity as a Mo Bro or Mo Sista to talk men's health with the family and understand your medical history....and hit them up for a Mo Space donation! Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here on the Grassroots Engagement team at Movember and thanks again for all the amazing things you've done this month!

Growing facial hair in November means changing your appearance. Growing a Movember moustache means changing the face of men’s health.

Make sure you communicate this subtle difference when you’re talking to your friends around campus. Encourage them to register on Movember.com and raise vital funds and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer research. Accept no substitutions - No Mo, No Mercy.

For more information on getting Movember started on your campus, please visit the Get Involved "On Campus" page. Best of luck as you begin your Mo-venture and remember, it gets fuller!
