My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. Around the world, on average we lose a man to suicide every minute of every day. In the United States, that rate of suicide is an alarming 3 out of 4 suicides are men. The Movember Foundation is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men dying too young. Too many are toughing it out and struggling alone. 2022 is no exception with the added stress and anxiety from Covid-19 and US Politics.

WE HAVE TO TAKE ACTION TO IMPROVE MENTAL HEALTH AND REDUCE THE RATE OF MALE SUICIDE.

Get moving! I was stuck in a conference room most of the day. So figured I'd walk around the National Mall after dinner. Kicked out 4.5 miles on this beautiful Monday evening.

Happy Movember
2nd! #Movember Men's Health Facts of the Day:
Men will die on average 4.5 years earlier than women, and for reasons that are largely preventable. Which means that it doesn't have to be that way: we can all take action to live healthier, happier and longer lives.

Here are the top 5 things Men should know and can do to take action:
1. Spend time with people who make you feel good.
2. Talk, more....you don't have to be an expert ornhave solutions, but listening, sharing your feelings and giving your time can be life saving.
3. Know the numbers...at 50 talk to your doctor about prostate and colon cancer. I'll be 49 in two weeks. Already talked to my doctor and tested. Get those test done!
4. Know thy nuts! Just do it. Give them a check regularly.
5. Move more...walk, run, exercise, chores...just move.

A change is afoot! My last haircut before today was November 2019. Covid19 hit the world and cutting my hair no longer became a priority. In the spirit of changing my appearance for Movember, yesterday was a shave and today was the haircut. Bonus, my ginger hair was donated. #movember

Day 30
Well today is Giving Tuesday and the last day of Movember! I want to thank all of you who have supported Movember and my efforts to raise funds and awareness for Men's Health in 2021 and in past years. Your support is helping save men's lives. Last week I received a $2,500 donation that is being sent via check to Movember. If you are looking for a organization to donate to this #GivingTuesday2021 consider Movember. Stay healthy and safe this holiday season - Joseph
