Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health

Mental health and suicide prevention

It's 2022 and still 3 out of 4 suicides are committed by men and suicide remains the biggest cause of death to men under the age of 44!

Most men often feel pressured to put on a facade to showcase themselves as “macho men”, or an athlete, or even to always have everything figured out. However, that just isn't the case and that is not who most of us are! We do have problems, we do get stressed, we do get a bit lonely sometimes and we do get anxious about certain outcomes.

I personally am someone who has always been willing to help others through their problems, however, when I was younger this made me feel like I couldn't have problems of my own or at least 'be seen as someone with issues' because how can I help someone if I am struggling... Shortly after my Grandfather passed away I found out about Movember from one of my old teachers back home in England. Turns out he is a Mo-Bro and was someone who I regarded as one of the most "manly" on the staff, but regardless of that, he was the one who showed me that no matter how "manly" or "put together" someone may seem they are still going through something you have no idea about. Further, that no matter where you come from or who you are everyone faces problems in day to day life, and it is perfectly normal to speak about those issues because it is ok to not be ok all the time.

We are not all "tough guys" and we are not all invisible! I have seen myself and too many of my mates bottle up what they are dealing with and seen the toll it can take. Therefore, I will reshape the stigma surrounding Mental Health and alter the environment we live in not just for the men in my community but for everyone so that we can all feel more comfortable speaking about our emotions, please join me so that we can do it Together!
