The picture above was taken on Halloween night, 2008 - the day I found out I had melanoma. Wasn't sure what the future held as I got the call late in the day and had to wait for my follow-up appointment the next week, but decided that night to focus on living life, not on the "what ifs." Thankfully, 3 years later, I am cancer-free, healthy and fully engaged in helping others take control of their health and well-being. And I get to be a dad, which helps me stay focused on what is truly important.
