THE STATS

-1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime – a new case is diagnosed every 2.1 minutes. A man dies from prostate cancer every 18 minutes.

-In 2012, 242,000 new cases of the disease will be diagnosed and 28,000 men will die of prostate cancer.

-Prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men after skin cancer.

-A man is 35% more likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer than a woman is to be diagnosed with breast cancer.

Men’s health is a cause I am passionate about but in order to make a difference I need your help. My commitment is to grow a moustache for the month of November and by changing my appearance, raise vital awareness and funds for men’s health, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.

I’ve registered for Movember and pledged to grow a moustache for 30 days to raise awareness and funds and for men’s health. This year, we honor the great men who have grown before us and, as Movember and Sons, pay respect to the simple truth knowledge is power, the moustache is king.
