Started growing a Mo for fun - then things got real.

Started growing a Mo for fun - then things got real.

I guess I have a reason to do it now beyond just "for kicks"...
I decided to do Movember this year really just to have a little fun. I've never grown a moustache before - had a full beard and did a goatee that I've burned all pictures of, and for quite a while carried a passable soul patch.  But I’ve never just had a moustache.
So why not, right?
I started documenting the journey on video (below), and promoting it on Facebook, because again, why not right?
I even had a friend on Facebook tell me how cool I was for doing this, since I have no personal connection to prostate cancer or testicular cancer issues.  Well, I guess that changed yesterday.
I found out my grandfather has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Before I get too serious, he's had it before and came through it just fine, and from what I can tell he's doing okay this time, so I'm not too worried about it.  But I guess I have a reason to do it now beyond just "for kicks".
Anyway, I don't know how everybody else's moustaches are coming along, but mine is, well, sad at this point.  But it's early yet.  With any luck, I'll be epically manly by the end of the month.  Finger crossed!
